Introduction:
Pathonpatham Nootand is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language period drama action film written and directed by Vinayan. The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the production banner of Sri Gokulam Movies.
Story:
In 19th century Travancore, this story is based on the lives of Aratupuzha Velayudha Panickers who fought against social injustices. The film also depicts the story of Nangeli and Kayamkulam Kochunni.
Cast and Team:
The film stars Siju Wilson, Kayadu Lohar, Anoop Menon, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sudev Nair, Indrans and Alencier Le Lopez in lead roles. Director Vinayan announced the film through a casting call in March 2020.[35] Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the shooting has been delayed and will begin after the pooja in Kochi in January 2021. The first schedule started in Palakkad and lasted for about three months. The shooting was put on hold after the state was hit by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. On 27 June 2021, Vinayan announced that the film’s editing work has started as about eighty percent of the film has been shot. He added that shooting would resume after the second wave.
Shaji Kumar was the cinematographer of the film. The film was edited by Vivek Harshan. Makeup by Pattanam Rasheed and costume design by Dhanya Balakrishnan. Ajayan Challissery was the art director of the film. Mafia Shashi, Supreme Sundar and Rajashekhar handled the action choreography of the film. V.C. Praveen and Biju Gopalan are the co-producers and Badusha is the production controller.

The second and final schedule of filming began on November 3, 2021. Sharing the final shot of the film, Vinayan and Siju Wilson announced that the shooting of the film has ended on November 23, 2021. Dolby Atmos mixing of the film was completed on July 1, 2022. The film was censored on 20 August 2022 with a U/A certificate.
